The oldest pub in Dartford, The Royal Oak is situated up from the town centre, specialising in cask ale (normally 4 different ales at any one time).
It has two 42" plasma screens, and a smaller LCD TV showing all the sporting action you need, a rear garden with smoking area and a large car park.
Bluewater and Lakeside Shopping Centres are only 10 minutes away and The Orchard Theatre is a 5 minute walk.
There is currently no food served.
There has been a pub on this site since the 16th century and it is reputed to have links with Henry VIII. He is said to have visited Anne of Cleeves, who stayed in the Priory behind the Royal Oak. To this day there is a tunnel running directly from the pub cellar to the Priory, which was used as a "Priests" bolt hole during Henry VIII's persecution of the church.
