Lovely country pub close to Haywards Heath. An enormous garden, regular summer barbecues and plenty of parking space.
A cottage that the history books say was occupied by a John Ralfe in 1669 is believed to be the Red Lion annexe, which visitors can see today. The first record of a public house on the site can be traced to 1858 and it was trading as the Red Lion by 1867.
The Red Lion is near to the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park Gardens and Ashdown Forest.
