The Alma has been a pub since 1837 and was originally known as the Candle House, as the landlord used to light candles so that the hop pickers could find the pub in the dark.
It is a lovely old country pub with a 'non-smoking' restaurant, serving excellent meals, using mainly local produce and serving a wide variety of fish and homemade puddings and pies. Bar snacks are also available.
There is childrens play equipment situated in a large beer garden.
Situated close to the ancient town of Faversham within a few miles of the M2/A2 and well worth a visit.
