Goodnestone Park Gardens

Jane Austen visited Goodnestone on many occasions, for her brother Edward married a daughter of the house and subsequently came to live nearby. In a parkland setting, this 14 acre garden includes a small arboretum, woodland area, shrubbery and walled garden with a parterre, collections of old fashioned roses, clematis and many herbaceous plants. The local cricket green is also within the grounds.

Open: Sundays noon - 6pm, 31 Mar - 20 October; Weekdays (except Tuesdays & Saturdays) 11am - 5pm, 25 March- 25 October.

Admission Adults £3.30, Seniors £2.80, children under 12: 50 pence. Parties of 20 and over £3.00 (self-guided) £4.50 (guided). Family ticket £5.60
House open by appointment to parties of less than 20 people - £2.00. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
