Located at the start and finish of Ripe Walk, a circular two-and-a-half mile trail through the beautiful East Sussex countryside and South Downs, this attractive, traditional pub offers a great place for a refreshment pit stop.
Recently refurbished, the Lamb Inn offers a delicious selection of good pub food in a cosy and friendly setting. Regular favourites include rustic classics such as fish pie, steak and kidney pudding and Eton Mess and more contemporary dishes such as chicken with chilli and lime and toffee and apple roulade.
Customers can entertain themselves with pool, darts and toad in the hole – a traditional East Sussex pub game where brass ‘toads’ are thrown into a hole in a ‘toad table’ - the annual world championships are held in Lewes just a toad's throw away.
The pub also has a large walled garden with barbeque, for eating and drinking outside on warm days and evenings . Dogs on leads always welcome.
What our customers say:
"We will be back…if you are in East Sussex don´t hesitate to pay The Lamb a visit." Egon
