The Bell is a lovely 500-year old village pub, originally a coaching inn, situated in picturesque Ingatestone and easily accessible from the M25, off the A12 and very well served by public transport. The interior glows with tradition with its heavy oak beams and three original fireplaces, and outside is a beautifully kept large garden, with a very good childrens’ play area.
Hearty, freshly cooked pub grub is on offer – all the favourites such as substantial pies, sausages and mash, fish and chips and more, along with a great selection of cask ales and a good wine list too. Once a month, on a Wednesday, a gourmet evening is held, with a more exotic menu – it could be anything from tapas to a curry evening.
Every Saturday evening is live music night, with a wide variety of bands and singers hosted.
