Shepherd Neame are proud to be associated with Canterbury City Council.

Developing a thriving local economy is a key priority for Canterbury City Council and they are working together with the public, business and community sectors to help local businesses grow and encourage new investment to the District.

The Canterbury City Council website provides information for organizations and individuals looking at Canterbury District as a place to invest or do business. It also helps both established and start-up businesses by signposting them to a wealth of information.

The newly formed partnership called Canterbury 4 Business seeks to give the local business community the opportunity to have a real influence on the direction of the local economy by working more closely with public sector organisations and other stakeholders (e.g. local authorities, educational providers and business support organisations).

Shepherd Neame have a wide variety of pubs in Canterbury City Centre and around Canterbury. Many of the pubs serve delicious food prepared from fresh, local ingredients and a number of them have letting accommodation. The Millers Arms is situated in the City Centre with 11 newly refurbished bedrooms, and the Crown at Sarre, Evenhill at Littlebourne, Grove Ferry at Upstreet and the Woolpack at Chilham all have outstanding accommodation and are all within easy driving distance of Canterbury City Centre.
